WHY SAFARI?
Safari Braai Products is situated in George in the Western Cape, South Africa. The company is privately owned and managed by its members. The Reinstorf family purchased the company in 2002 and has since grown the business from employing six employees then, to currently over a hundred employees.

Safari provides a wide range of quality braai and barbeque merchandise such as Firelighters, Charcoal, Briquettes, Firewood, Spices, Braai equipment and Outdoor related products. Safari products are distributed through our own dedicated distribution facility in the Southern Cape region. The rest of the country is serviced by authorized distributors and agents, in order to deliver to the consumer market.

The Market
Safari literally services all segments of the consumer market, nationally as well as internationally.
Our products are locally supplied to major retail supermarkets such as Pick ‘n Pay, Shoprite/Checkers, OK, SPAR and Food Lover’s Market. We also supply to wholesalers such as Jumbo cash & carry, Brito’s & Megasave, independent supermarkets, national forecourts, butchers, hardware stores, outdoor stores and even restaurants. During peak season periods we would supply directly to camping sites and holiday resorts.
We have also been exporting to various countries since 2014, including Australia, New Zealand, Kuwait, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Israel. We have authorized distributors in Sydney (AUS), Auckland (NZ), Haifa (ISRAEL), Harare (ZIM), Lusaka (ZAM), Gabarone (BOTS) and Windhoek (NAM).
The Business
Besides our own Safari brand, we also manufacture other brands under license for various national & international companies such as SHOPRITE Holdings, Heneck Sacks (PTY) LTD, AGRINET, Food Lover’s Market & Sefalana. We are easily adaptable to change our production lines to produce according to the client’s needs.
We also manufacture for corporate companies, such as the insurance company VIRSEKER, using the products for corporate gifts. We are geared to tailor-make a product to a specific need.

New Innovations
Safari continually strives to produce new and innovative braai related products to the consumer. We have recently launched the Safari Chop-Chop Braai combo – your ideal all-in-one braai containing wood, charcoal, firelighters and matches!
Safari Braai Products has taken a step in the Right direction by incorporating Green Technology into our firelighter production plant. This has taken us over 5 years of research and development to produce a Green Firelighter produced from plastic waste. We are proud to be contributing towards the cleaning up of plastic dump sites in South Africa, making it a better world to live in!
